China's spodumene imports recorded 550,800 tonnes in May, up 26.68% month on month (MoM) and 145.87% year on year (YoY), according to Mysteel calculation based on customs data.
Specially, the imports from Australia jumped 53.1% MoM and 94.1% YoY at 389,700 tonnes in May, and those from Zimbabwe were 97,100 tonnes, rising 9.4% from April and 1,020.7% from last year.
The spodumene imports over January-May were around 2.18 million tonnes, an annual increase of 30.0%.
