China's LiPF6 production rose 6.61% MoM at 12,900 tonnes in August. The production increase was primarily driven by the arrival of the peak season, higher operating rates at battery cell companies, and a rise in market orders, which led to an increase in factory capacity utilization month-on-month.

The production is projected to rise 1.55% MoM at 13,100 tonnes in September as downstream demand continues to grow. Cell manufacturers and electrolyte producers are projected to ramp up production.
