Mysteel Analysis on Coated & Plated Steel Market after Spring Festival
One week ahead of Chinese lunar new year, domestic price of coated & plated steel posted an overall stable trend, with the limited market deals. And price for 1.0mm galvanized steel was settled at 5,150-5,200 yuan/ton by some major steel mills in China.

Galvanized steel export hard hit in 2009, domestic prices lower than CR
During Jan-Oct, China's production of galvanized sheet/strip and cold-rolled sheet/strip were 15.4892 million tonnes and 30.5989 million tonnes, up 7.99% and 10.33% y-o-y, respectively.

GI Export Prices by China & Europe Can’t Attract Middle East
Exporters from China and Europe have offered export quotations for their GI coil/sheet to Middle East recently. However, due to the gloomy end users’ demand there, there has been no transaction closed so far, Mysteel reported.
